Lietame samozrejme iba za pekného počasia – bezpečnosť na prvom mieste! To v našom prípade znamená iba slabý, alebo žiadny vietor, žiadne zrážky (nechceme predsa zmoknúť) a dostatočná viditeľnosť.

V letných mesiacoch sa lieta buď skoro ráno po východe slnka, alebo podvečer pred západom slnka. Je to kvôli tzv. „termike“, kedy z dôvodu zohriatia zeme vznikajú turbulencie v ktorých môže byť lietanie nebezpečné. Na jar a na jeseň sa dá lietať prakticky celý deň.

Ako sa obliecť?

Obliekať sa treba primerane počasiu. Treba rátať s tým, že vo väčších výškach je chladnejšie ako na zemi a hlavne že počas letu fúka. Najlepšie je predstaviť si, že idete na motorke rýchlosťou 80-100 km/h.

Najmä na jar a na jeseň je dôležité nepodceniť teplé oblečenie (zdvojené nohavice – spodky, neprefúkavé zvršky, teplé rukavice-ideálne lyžiarske, pletené nestačia) aby ste si nepokazili zážitok len tým, že budete mrznúť.[:en]We are here for you if you would like to find out what it feels like to fly a powered hang glider. We fly only during good weather conditions – safety is the number one priority! Good weather is: only light wind or no wind at all, no rain (we do not want to get wet) and good visibility (no fog, etc.).

We usually fly either in the morning just after sunrise or in the late afternoon before sunset during summer. It is because of so called „thermals“, which appear when the ground heated by the sunlight causes turbulences. It is possible to fly practically all day long in the early spring, during the autumn and winter too.

What to wear for flying?

Cloths should be appropriate for the weather. One has to consider that it is colder in higher altitudes then on the ground. Imagine driving a motorcycle (80-100 km/h) in temperatures 3-5 °C lower than on the ground level.

It is important not to underestimate the necessity of warm clothing, especially in spring and autumn, not to mention in winter. Double pants, thermal undergarments, windproof outwear and warm gloves are important to consider if you want to fully enjoy our flight.[:]
